Job Summary

Monitor compliance-related statutory and regulatory developments to proactively update global and local compliance programs, including the EU AML package. Prepare and submit firm compliance reports to government regulators like OFSI, while supporting the OGC team in implementing the AML strategic plan and ad hoc initiatives such as DAC6. Provide legal support and guidance on financial crime, sanctions, and criminal corporate offences by reviewing vendor contracts, advising staff, and drafting responses to inquiries from clients, auditors, and external regulators. Assist with audit preparations and develop standard response protocols. This role is located in London or Manchester with potential for a hybrid schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Law or other degree
  • A law degree from an accredited law school
  • A qualification as a lawyer currently licensed to practice, preferably in England & Wales, however candidates qualified in another jurisdiction in which Latham operates are also eligible to apply
  • A minimum of 3-4 years' post qualified experience within financial crime compliance, preferably in a large international law firm
  • Experience managing global compliance projects, preferably in a large international law firm
