Job Summary

Manage regulatory engagement activities by coordinating external interactions with regulators, industry bodies, and policymakers to support strategic objectives. Lead the development of responses to FCA consultations, discussion papers, and calls for evidence while assessing proposed reforms for business risks and opportunities. Produce high-quality regulatory briefings, reports, and executive-level presentations to inform governance forums and senior leadership on emerging policy issues. Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and business functions to ensure consistent interpretation of regulatory developments and influence organizational policy positions within the UK financial services sector.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience managing regulatory engagement activities within a UK financial services organisation
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining relationships with regulators, policymakers, industry bodies, and other external stakeholders
  • Experience representing organisations in external forums and influencing policy discussions through effective stakeholder engagement
  • Experience coordinating and drafting consultation responses, discussion papers, and industry submissions
  • Strong understanding of the UK financial services regulatory framework, regulatory policy-making process, and supervisory environment
  • Excellent knowledge of current and emerging regulatory issues impacting investment, wealth management, or broader financial services markets
  • Proven ability to analyse complex regulatory and policy developments and translate them into practical and strategic business insights
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working across Compliance, Risk, Legal and business functions
  • Confident communicator capable of constructively challenging and influencing stakeholders
  • Ability to identify emerging regulatory risks and opportunities and assess their potential impact on business strategy and operations
  • Experience supporting teams in navigating complex regulatory environments and developing strategic responses
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the wider political, economic, and regulatory drivers affecting financial services
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive briefings, policy papers, consultation responses, and regulatory updates
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory issues clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience presenting to governance forums, and external stakeholders
  • Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Bristol, BS1 5HL
  • Hybrid working where only 3 days a week is required in the office
