Job Summary
SRE Engineer role within Compliance Engineering at Goldman Sachs in Dallas. Focus on proactive production-service management, capacity planning, system design reviews, scaling for reliability, blameless postmortem incident handling, and reducing toil through automation. Responsibilities include defining SLIs/SLOs, improving monitoring and control tools, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver resilient services. Requires experience with Java, Python, or Perl; Linux environment; and observability stacks. 3-4+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience
- Experience with automated testing and SDLC concepts
- Developing applications in a Linux environment
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures and software design
- Proficiency with Observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry)
- Familiarity with cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to debug and automate routine tasks
