Job Summary
Manage end-to-end certification activities (CSA, UL, ETL) from planning through approval, coordinating testing with external laboratories and scheduling samples. Ensure products meet applicable domestic and international regulations throughout the lifecycle by guiding compliance processes, managing audits, and producing technical documentation. Support troubleshooting during test failures, coordinate corrective actions, and schedule factory special inspections with production and project management teams. Develop certification plans for new product development projects and monitor regulatory changes to communicate impacts internally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 5+ years' experience in certification, compliance and working with external test labs
- Familiarity with CSA, UL, ETL, and CE certification processes
- Strong understanding of project management principles, risk assessment, and go/no-go decision-making
- Experience managing certification documentation (reports, certificates, declarations)
- Strong ownership and ability to drive tasks independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive follow-up mindset - ensures nothing is left pending
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in new product development using a structured stage-gate process from concept through commercialization
- Fundamental working knowledge of electric heating technology
- Professional Engineering certification
