Job Summary
Compliance Specialist for ASSA ABLOY’s Door Group based on-site at the Curries manufacturing facility in Mason City, IA. Responsible for ensuring facilities producing hollow metal doors and frames maintain UL and Intertek certifications (fire-rated and windstorm), serving as the primary liaison with certification agencies, managing listing updates, documentation, and audit readiness, identifying consolidation opportunities, maintaining production records and labeling in accordance with standards, conducting internal audits, developing procedures, guiding cross-functional teams, and supporting certification impacts for new designs; travel up to 40% including to Mexico and Canada; no visa sponsorship offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3–5 years of experience in compliance, quality systems, or certification management within building products, construction materials, or a related manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of hollow metal door and frame construction and performance standards
- Direct experience working with UL, Intertek, or similar third-party certification bodies preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with auditors, facility leaders, and cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel up to 40%, including travel to Mexico and Canada
- Ability to balance compliance enforcement with a collaborative, partnership-driven approach
- Ability to lead internal audits and manage corrective actions
