Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk – Vice President, Corporate Functions, Technology and Operations

Job Summary
Lead and provide compliance support to corporate functions, technology, and operations in Japan as part of the second line of defense; manage location-wide compliance initiatives including data privacy and outsourcing; serve as escalation point for compliance incidents and coordinate with relevant parties on regulatory impacts; review and monitor personal information protection policies and procedures; develop and deliver training on safeguarding personal information; oversee outsourcing and offshoring activities from a regulatory perspective; coordinate due diligence for system onboarding and changes; support regulatory engagement and provide guidance on regulatory changes to stakeholders; assist with regulatory inspections and responses to information requests; prepare and review incident reports for regulators; foster a culture of compliance and operational risk awareness across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience researching and interpreting laws and regulations
- Experience supporting regulatory inspections and interactions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong control mindset and sense of urgency
- Proficiency in preparing presentations and documentation
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
