Job Summary
Oversee all phases of compliance audit engagements from planning through final report issuance for fringe benefit funds, ensuring accurate reporting under Collective Bargaining Agreements and related plan documents. Review complex or high-risk audits to maintain accuracy and adherence to collection policies while assigning and managing audit workloads across staff to ensure timely completion. Supervise, mentor, and develop audit team members through performance feedback, coaching, and training, while monitoring engagement progress and deadlines to optimize team productivity. Identify issues requiring expanded scope or escalation, coordinate with fund offices and legal counsel, and prepare billing related to engagements. Analyze performance metrics to improve audit effectiveness and support process improvements through automation and standardized procedures. Serve as the primary point of contact for employers, addressing questions and sensitive matters professionally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of six years of compliance audit experience
- Proven experience managing audit teams and reviewing complex engagements
- Strong understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreements, collection policies, and related plan documents
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Local and occasional out-of-state travel
