Compliance Assistant (Bank)

Job Summary
As Compliance Assistant you are responsible for providing compliance support as well as monitoring and documenting compliance activities. You will assist in adhering to Federal and State laws and regulations, specifically HMDA compliance and HMDA software management, monitor documentation related to new account opening, review OFAC and other software alerts, assist in conducting surprise audits, and help the Internal Auditor with reconciliation of bank check accounts. The role requires strong ethical judgment, analytical and research skills, attention to detail, knowledge of banking regulations, and the ability to work under pressure; the position is housed within Cornerstone Bank’s Compliance department in a largely sedentary, office-based environment with standard banking hours and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business or another complimentary field preferred
- combination of education and relevant bank compliance experience considered
