Job Summary
Oversee SCRI’s privacy program within a healthcare research and clinical data environment. Lead privacy risk assessments, implement and monitor privacy controls, conduct incident investigations, coordinate with Legal, Information Security, IT, and operations, and provide privacy and data governance training. Partner to align SCRI privacy practices with enterprise policies, regulatory requirements (HIPAA and applicable state laws), and enterprise risk objectives; drive ongoing compliance monitoring and governance efforts in collaboration with internal audit and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare privacy, compliance, audit, or related field
- Working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare privacy regulations
- Ability to conduct workloads and projects in a self-directed manner with minimal oversight
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to summarize issues clearly
- Ability to independently assess risk and apply sound professional judgment within established frameworks
- Strong collaboration across legal, technical, and operational teams
- Preferred certifications such as CHC, CHPC, or CIPP (optional)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
