Compliance Analyst – CAT Transaction System

Job Summary
Data Analyst role focused on CAT reporting systems and compliance supervision. Responsibilities include reviewing regulatory data to identify root causes and remediation, researching transactional reporting issues to form evidence-based conclusions, developing surveillance for regulatory reporting and operational data, automating the CAT Feedback system, coordinating with software developers on errors or exceptions, gathering facts for examinations, and proposing improvements or additional controls over regulatory reporting. Required skills include data analysis, programming in Python/Perl/Go, SQL, UNIX, and advanced Excel capabilities; familiarity with CAT/OATS and related regulatory reporting; strong written and verbal communication; and the ability to learn and apply regulatory concepts. The role is hybrid (4 days in office / 1 day remote) in Greenwich, CT.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a quantitative or analytical field
- 1-2 years of experience as a Data Analyst/Data Scientist
- Strong data analysis, investigatory, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform data analysis using programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl) and database queries (e.g., SQL)
- Experience with UNIX command tools
- Familiarity with or ability to learn advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros)
- Regulatory research and interpretation skills
- Knowledge of CAT/OATS systems is a plus
- Ability to discuss and write about complex topics clearly
- Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence and JIRA) is a plus
- Self-motivation, collaboration, and time management skills
