Job Summary
Oversee compliance operations for affordable housing properties by reviewing certifications, ensuring move-in adherence, and resolving file deficiencies with site staff. Partner with regional managers to implement corrective action plans, conduct on-site audits, and generate vacancy claims or repayment agreements. Monitor recertification timelines, enter HAP voucher payments, and provide guidance on regulatory changes and documentation requirements. Maintain a hybrid schedule with onsite visibility and attend required trainings to uphold federal, state, and local fair housing standards. Act as a subject matter expert resource for the Compliance Department while assisting with monthly reporting and audit preparations.
Required Qualifications
- Maintain a hybrid schedule with no more than 2–3 remote workdays per week
- Solid understanding of subsidy and fair housing regulations and practices
- Ability to maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude
- Enthusiastic team player
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- A commitment to excellence in customer service
- Ability to effectively use, leverage, and learn technology platforms
- Attend required trainings and continuing education to maintain compliance expertise
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local Fair Housing regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Yardi experience preferred
- HUD project based affordable housing experience preferred
