Job Summary
Partner with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Legal, and Operations to provide practical compliance advice on regulatory obligations including the Australian Credit Licence, Australian Financial Services Licence, and privacy requirements. Strengthen compliance frameworks by preparing governance reporting, regulatory submissions, and breach investigations while monitoring regulatory developments in Australia and New Zealand. Deliver compliance education and build trusted relationships to ensure obligations are effectively managed and monitored. Support engagement with regulators and external stakeholders to navigate an evolving financial services landscape.
Required Qualifications
- Typically 5+ years' experience in compliance, risk, legal or a related discipline within financial services, fintech or another regulated industry
- A sound understanding of the regulatory frameworks applicable to consumer credit and financial services, including Australian Credit Licence, Australian Financial Services Licence, Design and Distribution Obligations and privacy requirements
- Experience providing practical compliance advice and supporting the implementation of compliance frameworks and regulatory change initiatives
- Experience preparing governance reporting, compliance insights and regulatory submissions
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and provide commercially balanced advice
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- An aptitude for identifying and managing risks
