Job Summary
Update compliance policies and procedures in accordance with laws, regulations, and industry standards. Assist with regular audits to ensure adherence to standards and monitor organizational activities to identify potential compliance issues. Prepare and present audit reports with findings and recommendations for improvement while identifying and managing risks within the organization. Recommend strategies to mitigate identified risks and stay current with changes in laws and industry standards. This role supports HS Code activities for all Sensata legal entities, acting as the primary Trade Compliance point of contact to provide global classification assistance and prevent disputes that may result in cross-border delays.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
- Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
