Job Summary
Schedule and coordinate multiple interdependent patient appointments across departments in accordance with clinically defined pathways, provider protocols, and timeframes. Interpret provider orders, treatment plans, and clinical workflows to ensure appointments align with care protocols, proactively identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts or delays. Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to execute care plans, escalating urgent issues as needed while providing clear, compassionate communication regarding sequences and timelines. Adjust schedules based on patient condition changes or provider direction and accurately document all activities in the EHR. Maintain regular attendance during the day shift, adhering to Logan Health's core values of quality, compassion, and excellence in patient care delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare scheduling, patient access, or care coordination experience
- Proficiency with EHR and scheduling systems
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare workflows
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership
- Commitment to working in a team environment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
