Complex Safety Manager (Poultry Industry)

Job Summary
Lead and manage safety and health programs to prevent injuries, illnesses, and property loss in a poultry-industry environment. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, Worker's Compensation) and maintain documentation (OSHA logs, safety training, insurance certificates). Facilitate Executive Safety Committee, Joint Safety/Ergonomic Committee, and other safety meetings; analyze and submit data for Monthly DART Rate reporting; oversee and audit safety programs (Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space/Ergonomics, Hot Work, Industrial Hygiene); conduct monthly safety inspections and investigations; support continuous safety improvements and training; bring deep expertise in ammonia refrigeration and electrical systems; strong communication and public speaking skills to drive safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree, preferably in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or other closely related discipline required
- 7+ years relevant safety management experience, preferably within poultry industry
- Technical knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Certification as Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and electrical systems
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, DOT, Worker's Compensation, etc.)
- Proficient technology and computer skills
