Job Summary

Complex Litigation Attorney in Allstate’s Law and Regulation unit focusing on combatting fraud against the insurance industry. The role involves litigating fraud cases including RICO and affirmative actions, drafting and negotiating motions and briefs, preparing for depositions and examinations under oath, and representing the company in state and federal courts within the New York Metro area. Responsibilities include developing litigation strategies, reviewing case files, drafting discovery requests and memoranda, conducting depositions, attending arbitrations and mediations, negotiating settlements, and coordinating with experts. Requires strong litigation experience, persuasive writing, and the ability to manage complex matters in a remote-capable role with travel within the NY Metro area for court appearances and related matters.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate
  • Active New York State Bar admission
  • Federal Court admission
  • 7+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Experience with RICO and complex litigation
  • Insurance industry experience (preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
