Job Summary
Implement the BSN Nursing program curriculum by mentoring students in inpatient clinical settings in the Alamogordo, NM area. Plan and supervise direct clinical experiences, evaluate student performance against course objectives, and provide documented feedback on skills and procedures. Maintain visibility at the clinical site while orienting staff to policies and ensuring regulatory compliance. Contribute to program development, assessment efforts, and retention initiatives through collaboration with college administration and faculty. Schedule is determined by course needs for 8-week sessions, typically involving 3-4 consecutive 12-hour shifts over 1-2 weeks. Compensation ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment based on education and experience. Candidates require an MSN or DNP, an unencumbered RN license in New Mexico (or Illinois), and at least two years of recent professional nursing experience.
Required Qualifications
- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
- An unencumbered professional RN nursing license in New Mexico
- Illinois RN License will be required to teach all courses
- Active BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network)
- At least two years professional experience within last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse
