Job Summary
Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care and expert clinical services in reproductive health as part of a large academic specialist team. Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students and residents, serving as the Subspecialty Faculty Educator for the residency program. Participate in research initiatives, develop clinical protocols and guidelines, and lead community outreach and advocacy efforts to improve reproductive health care access. This role supports Carilion Clinic's academic affiliation with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine within a collaborative, not-for-profit environment serving over one million residents.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board eligible or certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Completion of a Fellowship in Complex Family Planning or equivalent qualifications
- Commitment to academic medicine, research, and teaching, with qualifications for a faculty appointment in the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine department of obstetrics and gynecology
- Demonstrated expertise in reproductive health care
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills with a desire to improve reproductive health care access
