Job Summary
Investigate, assess, and resolve complex or high-exposure Construction Defect claims within authority limits. Conduct comprehensive coverage analysis to determine liability exposure and negotiate settlements aligned with organizational objectives. Provide guidance and technical expertise to less experienced claims staff while collaborating with legal counsel, brokers, and insured clients. Prepare reports on claim status, trends, and risk exposure for management. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This role requires an Adjuster license and 5+ years of claims handling experience.
Required Qualifications
- English language fluency
- 1st Shift availability
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance, or related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in claims handling Complex Construction Defect claims
- Adjuster license as required by jurisdiction
- Advanced knowledge of insurance policies, coverages, and claims processes
- Proficiency in claims management systems and related technology tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating complex claim scenarios
- Effective negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience managing complex or high-severity claims
- Experience with litigation management and settlement negotiation
- Industry certifications such as CPCU or AIC
