Job Summary
Complex Claims Adjuster for Workers' Compensation needed to independently manage catastrophic and large-loss claims from setup to closure, conduct investigations, determine compensability, set reserves, present updates to stakeholders, administer medical/indemnity benefits, and comply with statutory guidelines. Responsibilities include proactive litigation strategy, settlement value assessment (including Medicare Set-Aside considerations), obtaining annuity/structured settlement quotes, attending mediations and trials, and mentoring junior adjusters. Requires strong communication, advanced problem-solving, regulatory knowledge, and ability to work remotely within the United States. Location is remote with US residency; base compensation range is $95,000–$120,000 along with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with some college coursework is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years workers’ compensation claim adjusting experience is required
- 2+ years of catastrophic claim handling experience
- Active licensing in applicable states
