Job Summary
Provide full support for daily living needs of a young person with complex health conditions, including epilepsy, developmental delay, and neurological disorders. Assist with personal care, bathing, dressing, and continence management while maintaining strict infection control. Monitor for seizure activity, recognize triggers, administer rescue medication, and follow emergency procedures. Accompany the client during the school week to ensure engagement and a consistent daily routine, including post-school calming activities and bedtime routines. Work closely with families to promote independence, support communication needs, and advocate for the client's preferences within a calm, safe environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with Epilepsy and seizure management would be beneficial
- To be caring and compassionate
- Keen to help promote independence of our client
- A calm and patient individual
