Job Summary
entry-level Completions Trainee role in the Gulfstream aircraft completions shop focused on training in disciplines such as cabinet making, cabinet finishing, upholstery, carpet installation, and related tasks. Under direct supervision, perform the creation/assembly of parts to complete finished products (e.g., aircraft seats/furniture) and learn to use hand tools and power tools through on-the-job training and classroom instruction. Work in a team environment, progressively reduce supervision, read and interpret electronic work orders, drawings, and specification sheets to determine work sequence, and ensure quality through self-inspection and guidance from Quality Control. Emphasizes adherence to safety, housekeeping, and professional attitude, with strong reading, writing, and English comprehension requirements and proficiency with basic computer software.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Essential communication skills (read, write, speak, understand English)
- Basic computer keyboard skills
- Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math
- Ability to read electronic work orders, drawings, and specification sheets
- Must be available to work any shift
- Must be able to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds
