Job Summary
Provide comprehensive anesthetic care across diverse clinical settings including general, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, ENT, ortho, spine fusions, eyes, pacemakers, cardioversions, TEE, and GI cases. Manage anesthesia for pediatric patients over one year of age, primarily in ENT procedures. Perform anesthesia management under a supervision model of four MDs and three CRNAs using paper charting. Maintain certification with the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists and hold current NBCRNA, RN, and CRNA licenses in Connecticut. Complete credentialing within 30-60 days with a Connecticut license. Deliver patient-centered care with strong clinical decision-making skills while adapting to changing situations.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification as a CRNA by the National Board on Certification and Re-Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Valid, unrestricted RN and CRNA licenses in Connecticut
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a CRNA
- Proficiency in general, OB/GYN, ENT, ortho, and cardiac cases
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to perform anesthesia management for diverse patient populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing clinical situations
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
