Job Summary
Compiler Engineer to work on code generation in the OxCaml compiler, Jane Street’s OCaml variant, an open-source project with high-performance and parallel programming goals. Role involves identifying optimizations, coding, testing, benchmarking, and deployment across multiple intermediate representations (CPS, SSA, and possibly Sea of Nodes). Collaborate with diverse teams across Jane Street worldwide. Ideal candidate is productive, comfortable using AI to accelerate changes, experienced with debuggers (lldb, gdb) and low-level Linux tools; knowledge of x86-64 and AArch64 assembly is a plus. LLVM experience is useful; OCaml/OxCaml language knowledge is not required. Strong interest in candidates who have proven experience managing a team of developers and can combine leadership with technical work.
