Job Summary
Operationalize and scale the company's competitive intelligence capability by owning high-priority competitor deep dives, market landscape reviews, and strategic opportunity assessments. Translate CI strategy into repeatable analyses, executive materials, and GTM enablement for Product, Sales, Marketing, and leadership. Synthesize fast-moving market signals into clear recommendations that influence roadmap decisions, pricing, and investment choices. Develop frameworks evaluating competitors across capabilities, enterprise readiness, and security while creating dashboards and knowledge repositories to make movements visible. Prepare executive-ready briefs and board-level analyses in partnership with the VP. Partner closely with Product Management and Marketing to sharpen positioning and identify competitive gaps.
Required Qualifications
- 8-12+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, product strategy, strategy consulting, corporate strategy, market intelligence, product marketing, or a similar analytical role
- Experience operating within, scaling, or helping build a competitive intelligence function in a high-growth technology company
- Strong understanding of enterprise software, AI platforms, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, or adjacent technical markets
- Exceptional analytical and structured thinking skills, with the ability to distill complex markets into clear frameworks, narratives, and recommendations
- Experience producing executive-facing strategic analyses, presentations, and recommendations
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders through clarity, evidence, and judgment
- Ability to synthesize quantitative data, qualitative research, customer feedback, win/loss insights, product information, and market intelligence into actionable recommendations
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and Executive teams
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment where markets, products, and competitors evolve quickly
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive complex workstreams independently as a senior individual contributor
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in AI, machine learning, foundation models, developer tools, or enterprise infrastructure
- Familiarity with benchmarking methodologies, win/loss programs, competitive positioning frameworks, and market landscape mapping
- Experience supporting enterprise sales teams with competitive enablement, objection handling, and battlecards
- Background in management consulting, strategic planning, product marketing, or product strategy
- Experience building dashboards, reporting systems, or knowledge repositories for competitive intelligence
