Job Summary
Competitive Intelligence Director leading the Global Competitive Intelligence team in Specialty Care. Responsible for dedicated CI support for inline and pipeline products, licensing/BD opportunities, and other strategic assessments; develop timely competitive insights, integrate primary and secondary information sources, and communicate insights at disease and asset levels. Lead CI planning for major congresses, manage vendor relationships and CI budget, and oversee offshore CI resources. Collaborate with asset teams to inform strategic forecasting, evidence generation, and asset development. Travel 20-30% to US/EU medical congresses; based in the UK or US with work permission. Strong background in Pharmaceuticals/biotech with experience in oncology and cross-functional stakeholder engagement; capable of challenging and influencing senior leaders; proficient in planning and delivering competitive scenarios and market landscape analyses.
Required Qualifications
- Educated to PhD, MD or Masters level in a biology/medical/pharmaceuticals discipline
- Significant experience in Pharmaceuticals (drug development, competitive intelligence, insights and analytics)
- Extensive experience in providing insightful and actionable insights through innovative approaches
- Willingness to spend 20-30% of time on travel to US and EU medical congresses and internal team meetings
- Experience of working within a global matrix environment, across a range of functions, seniority, and geographical locations
