Job Summary
Facilitate restoration curriculum and provide instruction on legal knowledge and rational decision-making to clients court-ordered for competency restoration. Deliver services in individual and group settings while connecting clients to resources that address unique barriers. Complete monthly reporting forms filed with the court and document service provision in a timely manner. Collaborate with state and local stakeholders, external referral agencies, and multidisciplinary care teams to monitor client progress and provide outreach. When requested, deliver court testimony related to restoration education services. This role is part of the multidisciplinary Outpatient Competency Restoration (OCR) Team at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery, combining education with therapy, case management, and medication services to help clients succeed in the community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, or other related human services.
- Two years experience in mental health or human services.
- Knowledge of behaviors in adults with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities.
- Comprehension of client's right to privacy and confidentiality.
- Required Vaccination and TB Test.
- annual influenza (flu) shot
- negative TB test result
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- experience in criminal justice referrals
