Job Summary

Own Article's annual compensation cycle end-to-end, including budget planning, governance, job benchmarking, and execution. Lead salary benchmarking and market pricing by managing relationships with survey providers and completing annual range reviews. Build and maintain compensation structures across Canada, the US, and Vietnam for corporate, retail, and logistics roles while evolving the job architecture and leveling framework. Lead benefits strategy and plan design through vendor negotiations and renewals, ensuring alignment with company principles. Develop P&C dashboards and executive reporting to translate data into actionable insights for leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive compensation experience
  • at least 2-3 years owning an annual merit or compensation cycle end-to-end
  • including budget planning, governance, communication, and execution
  • Hands-on salary benchmarking and market pricing experience
  • including direct relationships with compensation survey providers such as Radford, Mercer, Aon, or similar
  • Experience building and maintaining salary structures using compensation survey and market data
  • Experience designing compensation structures across multiple employee populations
  • including corporate, Retail/frontline, and hourly/Logistics roles
  • Multi-country compensation experience
  • ideally including Canada and the US
  • we also have an office in Vietnam
  • Experience with job architecture and leveling
  • including pricing new roles, maintaining a job catalogue, and applying a leveling framework consistently
  • Benefits program ownership
  • including experience working directly with brokers and vendors on plan design, vendor selection, renewals, and negotiations in at least one market
  • ideally Canada or the US
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills for compensation modeling and analysis
  • Experience managing, extracting, and analyzing compensation and employee data within an HRIS
  • We use HiBob
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and translating them into clear recommendations and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Occasional travel may be required to support US or Vietnam stakeholder and vendor relationships
  • Legally able to work in Canada
  • Completion of criminal background check

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with compensation programs across Canada, the US, and Vietnam
  • Experience supporting international employees through an Employer of Record such as Deel
  • Experience supporting a mix of corporate, Retail, Customer Care, warehouse, or Logistics employee populations
  • Experience with pay transparency and pay equity reporting
  • Experience building or evolving total rewards programs within a growing organization
