Job Summary
COMPENSATION SPECIALIST — Leads analysis and interpretation of compensation programs, documents job responsibilities, participates in compensation surveys, and analyzes market positioning to inform pay structures and annual salary programs. Administers salary structure creation and maintenance, supports incentive or salary-increase budgets, and contributes to merit processes and Profit Sharing Award administration. Requires knowledge of compensation design, laws/regulations, market trends, salary planning tools, job evaluation techniques, and advanced Excel. Preferred Bachelor’s degree with CCP/CMP certifications and 3–5 years of experience. Core values emphasize performance, trust, responsibility, and a positive, collaborative work environment. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or other certifications (Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Compensation Management Professional (CMP))
- 3 to 5 years’ experience
- Knowledge of marketplace, development & trends to business & HR functions
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws & regulations and ability to advise on their effects
- Knowledge of and ability to design, implement and evaluate compensation programs & policies
- Knowledge of salary planning tools, job evaluation techniques, and market salary trends
- Knowledge of incentive and rewards planning tools, techniques, and procedures
- Proven ability to develop and implement incentive and rewards programs
- Experience handling complex issues and sensitive/confidential information
- Advanced User of Microsoft Excel
