Job Summary

Compensation Analyst develops compensation structures, analyzes job descriptions, and benchmarks salaries to optimize hiring and retention. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining job classifications and salary grades, reviewing salary recommendations for offers, transfers, reclassifications, promotions or demotions, preparing and presenting compensation analyses, tracking salary surveys, collaborating with leadership on salary adjustment programs, entering compensation changes in HRIS, advising on applicable employment regulations, and participating in audits and QA/QI activities. Requires a bachelor’s-level background in business or HR (preferred), Certified Compensation Professional or equivalent certification, at least 3 years of experience, proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook and HRIS, strong data analysis and regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. On-site role based in Bakersfield, CA (US), with full-time exempt status.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or human resources preferred
  • Certified Compensation Professional or similar certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Compensation Analyst
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and HRIS systems required
  • Proficient with compensation research and data analysis
  • Knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices preferred
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), time management and organizational skills required
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem solving, with strong decision-making capability
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multi-functions in proficient and efficient manner
  • Able to function independently and create his/her own initiative to progress and succeed
  • Promotes and believes in Omni’s mission statement
