Job Summary

Conduct routine job evaluations, benchmark mapping, and initial salary range recommendations using market survey databases. Assist with annual salary survey participation by gathering, cleaning, and formatting job and pay data. Support maintenance of the central job description library, job codes, and titling alignment across the HRIS. Review job description questionnaires and draft descriptions against basic FLSA exemption duty tests to support exemption determinations. Help conduct periodic audits of HRIS job indicators, including FLSA flags, EEO categories, and pay grade assignments. Organize and maintain audit trails, duty test documentation, and rationale logs for legal and regulatory compliance reviews. Populate and maintain standard Excel models, dashboards, and reporting templates for merit tracking, internal equity checks, and budget variance analyses. Run routine and ad hoc compensation reports from the HRIS for HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and department managers. Perform data integrity audits prior to major compensation cycles to identify missing data, pay inconsistencies, or structural anomalies. Provide operational support during annual merit, promotion, and variable bonus planning cycles, including data validation, system testing, and employee letter generation. Serve as a first-line resource for Talent Acquisition and HR Operations regarding routine salary range inquiries, standard offer reviews, and job code creation. Support the Compensation Partner by pulling background market data, job summaries, and historical pay details needed for business unit consultations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and directly related work experience
  • Ideally 2+ years of progressive experience in HR analytics, compensation administration, or financial analysis
  • Baseline understanding of compensation fundamentals and foundational labor laws, including Fair Labor Standards Act principles and exemption definitions
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, and logical functions such as IF, AND, and OR
  • Exposure to enterprise HRIS platforms, such as Workday, UKG, or SAP SuccessFactors
  • Exposure to market pricing software, such as MarketPay or PayScale
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy, auditing, and report formatting
  • Strong discretion and confidentiality when working with employee pay, performance ratings, and organizational strategy
  • Clear, responsive communication when supporting recruiters, HR partners, and manager inquiries
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines during peak compensation cycles

  • Experience supporting market pricing, salary range recommendations, job evaluation, benchmark mapping, or compensation reporting
  • Exposure to FLSA exemption reviews, EEO category audits, pay grade assignments, or related compensation compliance documentation
  • Interest in learning compensation theory, business structures, and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience working with HRIS data, compensation reporting templates, dashboards, or data integrity audits
  • Experience supporting merit, promotion, variable pay, or other annual compensation cycles
  • Experience with compensation survey data or market pricing software
  • Interest in pursuing the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
