Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient conditions, pain levels, and functional capabilities. Create and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with physician referrals and patient goals. Utilize therapeutic techniques across orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine to facilitate recovery, providing skilled interventions in the clinic and through home-based care as needed. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and occupational therapists to maximize outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on treatment options and home exercise programs to foster independence. Meet set utilization goals while contributing to the operational effectiveness of the clinic. This role serves a diverse population from young children to the elderly in our outpatient West Palm Beach facility.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized provider
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with patients and staff
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and common office software applications
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a physical therapist
- Experience in outpatient settings, particularly handling varied patient demographics and conditions
- A background in utilizing evidence-based methodologies to enhance patient recovery
- A demonstrated ability to foster strong patient relationships
