Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments to establish individualized treatment plans. Implement therapy exercises while modifying protocols based on patient progress, utilizing modalities such as heat, cryotherapy, and electrical stimulation. Instruct patients on home techniques and provide one-on-one supervision to ensure correct execution. Collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive care, while regularly monitoring progress and documenting outcomes accurately. Serve a diverse population recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and sports injuries in a full-time setting.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a relevant physical therapy setting
- A solid understanding of physical therapy principles and practices
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate approach to fostering strong patient relationships
- Ability to function independently while being a collaborative team member
