Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments to establish individualized treatment plans, then modify and implement therapy protocols as directed by licensed Physical Therapists. Provide instruction and supervision during therapeutic exercises while utilizing modalities such as heat, cold packs, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to facilitate pain relief. Educate patients and caregivers on safe at-home exercise techniques, monitor progress, and document all treatment outcomes accurately. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for a varied population recovering from post-surgical issues, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment adhering to safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting
- Prior experience in an outpatient setting
- Experience working alongside Physical Therapists in managing rehab protocols for a variety of conditions
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Familiarity with treatment modalities
