Job Summary
Dispensing Nurse will administer daily medications to patients in an outpatient BAART Program setting, use automated dispensing systems and maintain dispensing equipment, manage medication inventory, and ensure compliance with CFR and DEA/state regulations. Works as part of a treatment team with physicians and supervisory staff to provide compassionate, non-judgmental care to individuals with opioid use disorder. Responsibilities include recording and reporting patient treatment information, orienting nursing staff, and performing related duties to support safe, compliant medication distribution. Requires CA LPN/LVN license (or CA Psychiatric Technician substitution allowed in CA), CPR certification, and proficiency with EMR; prior chemical dependency experience is preferred. Schedule: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. BayMark offers competitive benefits in addition to compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California
- Current CPR certification
- EMR & computer proficiency
- Experience in chemical dependency or substance use treatment preferred
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
