Job Summary
Compassionate non-medical home care caregiver needed to provide personalized care and companionship across Charleston-area clients. Responsibilities include dressing, bathing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal and snack preparation, transportation and errand services, monitoring client conditions, updating care notes, and dementia/Alzheimer's care as needed. Requires HS diploma or GED, state-mandated certification, 18+ years old, valid SC driver's license with clean record, and 1-2+ years of care experience plus 1+ year supporting individuals with disabilities or challenging behaviors. Starting at $18.25/hour with automatic $1 raise after 16 hours per week for 4 consecutive weeks; shifts include 4- to 12-hour options, day/night/overnight, with flexible scheduling. Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Any state-mandated certification
- Must pass a drug test and background check
- Minimum of 1 to 2+ year(s) adult personal care assistance experience
- Minimum of 1+ year(s) professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors
- Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license, provide current registration and insurance, and have a clean driving record if transporting clients
