Job Summary
Conduct TWOC and ISC procedures for urology patients in community clinics and acute trust facilities while managing referrals for home-based care. Provide specialist nursing care and advice on catheter management, including self-catheterisation, and assess adults with continence or bladder complications. Teach nursing staff and carers, foster communication with GPs and ward managers, and ensure accurate data entry into patient record systems. Track annual clinical objectives with the Nurse Manager and participate in research programmes affecting patient services. Requires RGN qualification, urology experience, and car driving ability for home visits.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Nurse RGN
- Proven experience within Urology / Continence Care
- Car driver
- Knowledge and the ability to demonstrate a research-based holistic approach to patient care
- Evidence of recent post registration training and development
