Job Summary
Create and distribute daily schedules for dancers, choreographers, and designers while ensuring compliance with company policies and collective bargaining agreements. Act as the primary liaison between artists and management, facilitating collective bargaining negotiations, processing payroll, and managing visa procurement for foreign personnel. Coordinate travel arrangements, lodging, and catering for artistic staff, and organize auditions in collaboration with marketing. Maintain accurate expense records, manage the Artistic budget, and ensure all employment authorization documents are current. Support the Artistic Director by managing calendars, distributing casting documents, and maintaining the Dancer Portal. Assist with contract execution, special events, and on-site venue support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Company Management experience for a similar size performing arts organization
- Comfortable managing and adhering to a budget
- Experience working with union CBAs including AGMA, IATSE, USA, AFM
- Experience with contract preparation, negotiation, execution, and Visa processing
- Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, tact, and discretion
- Excellent verbal and written communication with artists, staff, and others in a manner that ensures clear and mutual understanding of information and that fosters ongoing positive relationships
- Excellent organizational skills
- Understanding of artist needs and challenges
- Ability to multitask and work successfully to bring projects to completion both independently and collaboratively
- High professional standards with acute attention to detail
- Knowledge of theatre operations
- Confident in a wide variety of software including Office365 products, file sharing systems, and database programs
- Able to learn new programs quickly
- Comfortable working with non-native English-speaking team members
- Must be able to navigate stairs and operate computers and other office equipment
- Must be present during Company Dancer working hours
- Evenings, weekends, and travel are required
Desired Qualifications
- Touring experience is a plus
- Experience with Ballet/Dance company operations a plus
