Job Summary
Perform personal care activities assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, ambulation, transfers, dressing, shaving, and meal preparation. Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments while performing light housekeeping tasks. Execute patient-specific activities taught by staff, such as providing hospice supportive care, medication reminders, prescribed range of motion exercises, blood glucose monitoring, and care for bed-bound patients. Utilize lifting equipment like gait belts and Hoyer lifts. Requires experience in personal care, range of motion exercises, and companionship. Flexible scheduling with weekend shift differential and benefits available to full-time equivalent employees.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living
- Ability to perform light housekeeping activities
- Ability to provide hospice supportive care
- Ability to provide medication reminders
- Ability to assist with prescribed range of motion exercises
- Ability to assist with blood glucose monitoring
- Ability to care for bed-bound patients
