Job Summary
Companion Caregiver provides in-home elder care and companionship across Keene, NH and surrounding towns. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care and hygiene, light housekeeping, encouraging exercise, medication prompts, shopping/errands, meal planning and preparation, and mobility support for clients staying at home or recovering at home. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, reliable transportation, strong communication skills, ability to pass background checks, and First Aid/emergency response training. Shifts available full-time and part-time, with pay range $18-$22 per hour, mileage reimbursement, direct deposit, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities. Flexible scheduling and holidays off in observance of agency policy. Training and safety standards compliance are required, with emphasis on maintaining client dignity and safety in home-care settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent time-management skills
- Reliable transportation to client visits
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
- Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
