Job Summary
Companion Caregiver needed in the Charleston, WV area to provide in-home support for seniors and people with disabilities. Responsibilities include companionship and conversation, assisting with personal hygiene and dressing, aiding mobility and light physical therapy exercises, preparing meals and snacks, light housekeeping, administering medication reminders, running errands and shopping, and educating family members on safe care techniques. Ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, reliable, and able to pass a background check and drug screening. Must live within 15 miles of South Charleston, WV. Prior caregiver or home health aide experience is preferred; first aid/CPR certification preferred; Hoyer Lift experience preferred. Flex scheduling and a variety of health insurance/401(k) benefits are offered.
Required Qualifications
- MUST LIVE WITHIN 15 MILES OF SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV
- Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role is preferred
- First aid and CPR certified preferred
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Tolerant of small pets
- Hoyer Lift experience Preferred
