Job Summary
Companion/Buddy role for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities on Maui. Work one-on-one in the client’s local community to help develop independence through activities and daily living tasks (e.g., budgeting, socializing, shopping, using public transportation, exercise). No experience required. Schedule is part-time with flexible hours, weekly pay, paid training, and opportunities for matching to opportunities in the community. Role emphasizes building relationships, client safety, dignity, and respect, with benefits including health insurance, PTO, 401(k), and paid time off. Offices in Maui with multiple localities and a focus on compassionate, person-centered support.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Patience, empathy and dedication
- Passion for providing opportunities to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
- Ability to thrive in a supportive, inclusive environment
