Job Summary
Territory Manager for compact construction equipment in the Sacramento area. Drive sales within the defined territory by building relationships with new and current customers and leveraging technology to boost efficiency and profitability for their business. Requires previous sales experience, knowledge of construction or agricultural equipment, and strong communication and customer-relations skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a valid driver’s license are needed; experience operating equipment and with heavy-duty pickup/trailer combinations is preferred. Compensation is salary plus commission with a full benefits package, including retirement plans, health coverage, flexible spending accounts, and paid time off. Training and advancement opportunities are provided within a stable, long-standing regional dealer network (Pape’ Machinery). The company maintains a drug-free workplace and conducts pre-employment testing.
Required Qualifications
- Previous sales experience
- Knowledge of construction or agricultural equipment
- Financing background preferred
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Driver’s license with a good driving record
- Experience operating equipment and heavy-duty pickup/trailer combination preferred
