Job Summary
Composite Technician with 3+ years in precision composite fabrication for aerospace. Responsible for layup and lamination of carbon fiber and fiberglass using hand and automated techniques, vacuum bagging, curing, trimming, bonding, machining, inspection, and documentation to aerospace-grade quality. Requires following detailed work instructions, maintaining containment and safety, operating equipment such as table roll systems and autoclaves/ovens, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams to ensure part consistency and process improvements. Indoor manufacturing environment, 3pm–1:30am shift, standing/walking, lifting up to 75 lbs. Must have a high school diploma or GED; technical training or composite certification strongly preferred; ITAR eligibility required for U.S. person status.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of composite manufacturing or advanced fabrication experience (aerospace, automotive, sporting goods, or similar precision environment)
- Expertise in carbon fiber pre-preg layup, vacuum processing, trimming, bonding, and finishing
- Familiarity with machining, tooling preparation, or autoclave/oven operations
- Proven ability to follow detailed work instructions and maintain aerospace-level quality standards
- Proficiency with measurement instruments and documentation of inspection results
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or composite certification strongly preferred
