Job Summary
Conduct interventions to develop coping and problem-solving skills for low-income, at-risk youth, promoting safety and attachment while teaching skill transfer to home, school, and community environments. Manage wellness and resilience through linkages and referrals to appropriate community resources within the child and family team process. Maintain required licenses, certifications, and documentation using strong computer skills, ensuring all candidates pass pre-employment background checks, drug, and health screens. Requires a personal vehicle, valid California driver's license, and ability to work non-traditional schedules including weekends, holidays, and early morning hours. Starting pay ranges from $21 to $25 per hour based on experience and education.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or AA degree
- one year of direct care experience
- Maintains all required licenses and certifications
- Personal, reliable vehicle for travel to various locations
- Valid California driver's license
- Acceptable driving record as determined Agency policy
- Proof of auto insurance meeting minimum coverage requirements
- Ability to work a non-traditional work schedule to meet family needs
- Ability to travel and work in the community and in the home environment
- Have strong computer and typing skills to complete necessary documentation
- All candidates who are presented with a conditional offer of employment must satisfy a pre-employment background check, drug, and health screen
Desired Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- An excellent candidate for this position would be an individual who has knowledge of behavioral interventions and has successfully implemented these interventions with youth who have had severe behaviors (e.g., physical aggression, verbal aggression, and defiance)
- Experience in a Residential Facility, Group Home or Probation
- Knowledge of resources in Service Area
