Job Summary
Formulate a plan of care in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Provide nursing care according to the written plan, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust as needed. Act as a patient advocate while promoting safety and comfort in home environments. Share nursing expertise with other providers. Work various shifts across Thornhill with a pay rate of $32.25 to $34.50 plus vacation and travel allowance. Requires an RPN in good standing, one year of community experience, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario
- One (1) year recent experience in the community
- Excellent problem solving, time management, and crisis resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with Information Technology
- Current CPR (BCLS) Certificate
- ACLS/NRP for Specialty Nurses
- VSS within the past year of hire confirming absence of a criminal history/record
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle
