Job Summary
Safely transport participants to approved locations and activities as part of HCBS/Transportation programs, assist with entering and exiting vehicles, perform vehicle safety inspections, maintain accurate transportation logs, ensure vehicle cleanliness and proper maintenance of emergency equipment, and communicate professionally with participants and families. The role emphasizes safety, participant dignity, independence, and adherence to agency procedures and training (including CPR and First Aid).
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 25 years old
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Maintain a valid Kentucky driver’s license
- Have an acceptable driving history record
- Have no more than two chargeable moving violations within the previous three years
- Have no DUI/DWI convictions within the previous five years
- Successfully pass criminal background screenings
- Pass pre-employment and random drug testing requirements
- Have prior experience driving vans, trucks, or transporting passengers preferred
- Complete all required agency training, including CPR and First Aid certification
