Job Summary
Community Transport Driver provides safe, reliable non-emergency medical transportation under HCB/HSTD programs. Responsible for transporting clients to medical appointments, community activities, and essential errands; ensure passenger safety and comfort; assist with mobility aids; maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness; complete pre/post trip inspections; document routes/logs; report maintenance and delays; adhere to organizational policies and emergency procedures; participate in trainings and monthly meetings; maintain a smoke-free vehicle environment. Requires 25+ age, HS diploma/GED, valid Kentucky license, clean driving history, background check, drug testing, and CPR/First Aid training; prior experience transporting people or operating vans/trucks; strong safety and customer-service orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 25 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a satisfactory Official Driving History Record with no more than two current chargeable violations within the last three (3) years and no convictions for DUI/DWI in the last five (5) years
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing
- Must have a current, valid Kentucky driver’s license
- Must have experience transporting people and/or driving vans or trucks
- Must complete all required training, including first aid and CPR certification
