Job Summary
Support individuals in community-based activities, including employment, volunteering, recreation, and social engagements. Assist at job sites by providing on-the-job training to build workplace skills and develop life skills like communication and problem-solving. Ensure safety, advocate for needs, and provide personal care as needed. Maintain accurate records of daily activities and case notes. Safely transport individuals to appointments and implement positive behavioral interventions. Work with families and supervisors to develop individualized support plans. Complete 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician training within 12 months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- At least two years of direct instructional experience with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), preferably in an inclusive and integrated setting
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Must be able to verify employment eligibility under USCIS I-9 requirements
- CA Driver License
- Auto Insurance
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Physical ability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
- Must complete 40 hours of provided Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training within 12 months of hire
