Job Summary
Provide recovery-oriented behavioral health services to adults living in the community with mental illness. This position delivers in-person outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, community support and case management as needed, coordinating a range of individual and group treatment services to promote independence through natural community supports. Responsibilities include trauma-informed, strength-based assessments; treatment planning; crisis stabilization; facilitating weekly therapy and/or skills groups at permanent supportive housing buildings; coordinating referrals across services (SUPR, CST/ACT, Drop-In, IRG, employment, psychiatry, etc.); engaging clients in treatment goals and progress reviews; collaborating with building management and on-site coordinators to support tenancy; developing community supports and natural supports; engaging new tenants and assessing independent living capacity; and ensuring clinical documentation and compliance. Administrative duties include planning with the Team Lead, maintaining productivity targets, attending supervision and meetings, and ensuring quality standards. Education and other requirements specify a Master’s degree in a related field, relevant clinical experience with serious mental illness, computer literacy, IM-CANS certification within 30 days, and a valid IL driver’s license with daily access to a vehicle for community-based assessments. Schedule typically weekday daytime/evening hours with occasional evenings/Saturday hours. Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology or a related discipline required
- Preferred experience working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness
- Obtaining Illinois IM-CANS certification within 30 days of hire (training provided)
- Valid IL Driver’s License and daily access to a vehicle; willingness to drive daily for assessments in NW Suburbs of Chicago
